Exhibitor Information

APPLICATION DEADLINE FOR THE 2010 FESTIVAL WAS JUNE 7, 2010, AND APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2010 SHOW ARE NO LONGER BEING ACCEPTED.

THE 2010 FESTIVAL IS FULL AND ONLY ARTISTS WHO APPLIED BEFORE THE
DEADLINE, WHO WERE JURIED, AND WHO WERE PLACED ON THE OFFICIAL FESTIVAL WAIT LIST WILL BE SELECTED TO FILL ANY OPENINGS THAT OCCUR PRIOR TO THE NOVEMBER FESTIVAL.


APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2011 FESTIVAL WILL BE ACCEPTED IN EARLY
FEBRUARY 2011 THROUGH THE ZAPPLICATION WEB SITE AND THE
APPLICATION DEADLINE WILL BE ON OR ABOUT JUNE 1, 2011.

The festival is located outdoors, along Columbia Street.
There will be no rain/contingency plan.

Booth Space
• Booth space is 10’ x 10’.
• Artists must provide their own display booths, tents, weights to anchor tents, racks, tables and chairs. Artists are responsible for the assembly and disassembly of all items. Artists should prepare for the possibility of inclement weather conditions such as wind or rain. No nails or stakes are allowed in the street.
• Booth space cannot be shared, but one artist can purchase more than one booth.
• Electricity is not available. Generators are not allowed.
• No music shall be played inside your booth.
• All children must be closely supervised.
• Pets are not allowed at the festival for their own safety as well as the safety of others.

Fees

Application Fee- $35 paid to ZAPPlication with credit card or PayPal.

Booth Fee- $175 for single booth, $350 for double booth, $235 for corner or end-of-row booth. Double, corner, and end-of-row booths will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. The festival does not accept credit cards or Pay Pal for booth fees. Booth fee is payable by check to "Covington Three Rivers Art Festival" and should be mailed directly to:
Covington Three Rivers Art Festival, P.O. Box 633, Covington, Louisiana 70434.
Late Fee - A $25 late fee will be required for booth fees postmarked after August 15, 2010.  If booth fees are not received by September 1, 2010, the exhibit space will be sold to another exhibitor.
Cancellation -  Cancellation deadline is September 1, 2010. No refunds will be made for cancellations requested after September 1, 2010. Cancellations must be submitted to the festival in writing. A $50 administrative fee will be charged for cancellations requested on or before September 1, 2010, and refunds will be made within 30 days of receipt of written cancellation notice.
Temporary Vendor's License Fee - The City of Covington requires that each exhibitor not licensed in the City of Covington must purchase a temporary vendor’s license at the nominal fee of $10. Louisiana artists are exempt from this provision by State law. Non-Louisiana artists must include with the booth rent payment a separate check made payable to "City of Covington" in amount of $10.

Registration, Set-up & Dismantling
November 12, 3-6 p.m.  --  All artists must register at Festival Headquarters (located on the corner of Columbia and Rutland). NOTE:  Artists are required to REGISTER BEFORE beginning set-up.
November 12, 4:30 p.m. -- Set-up begins.
November 13, 6-8 a.m.  --  Set-up continues.  Booths must be completely set-up by 9  a.m. on Saturday when judging begins.
November 14, 5 p.m.  --  Dismantling begins. Artists dismantling prior to 5 p.m. on Sunday are subject to disqualification from future festivals.

Sales and Tax
Artists retain 100% of their sales and are responsible for reporting their own taxes. Sales taxes must be paid to St. Tammany Parish, the City of Covington and the State of Louisiana (total 8.75%). Tax reporting forms and instructions will be included in the registration packet.

Arts Alive!
Demonstrations by artists are an important educational component of the festival. Interested artists are asked to demonstrate the creation of a piece of work for approximately one hour during the festival at the Arts Alive! stage. Electricity and water will be provided and booth sitters will be available. Please indicate if you are willing to participate on your application form. Artists may also choose to demonstrate at their booths, if feasible. A member of the Arts Alive! committee will contact you to make arrangements. Participants will be highlighted in the festival program and website.

Advertising and Promotion
The Covington Three Rivers Art Festival is promoted through extensive editorial coverage as well as paid advertising that targets sophisticated, knowledgeable buyers in the Greater New Orleans area, south Louisiana and Gulf Coast. The campaign includes radio, television, newspaper, magazine, direct mail, email, website and posters. The total value of publicity and advertising is valued at more than $50,000.  Festival postcards are available for use by artists. Please indicate the amount desired on the application. An email version of the postcard will also be available for your use.
